Whisper Please

Would You whisper in her ear
A word, to let her know You’re near
That You are truly real 

To be a place that she can dwell
To flee the strife that ‘round her swells 
To be her place of refuge 

I cannot reach her, LORD, from here
I’m bound by space, how she believes 
Yet for her my heart breaks 

Please hold her in Your safety grip 
Let nothing come to her amiss 
To rob her dwindling joy 

She’s too young for burdens deep 
Raise her from this awful heap
Of woeful worry, dread 

Whisper, please, touch her soul
Awake her spirit so she’ll know 
The God of Life Who is
