Sun has wended cross the sky
Dipped below to mornings new
Before the moon and starry lights
Crested up into view
I saw through lowly window frame
A glorious pastoral sight
What’s so grand of porch light stream
On trees and leaves and darkened day
Stillness like a comforter
Pulling close the night our way
Nature holding breath it seems
Before the moonlight beams
‘Tis in these times of in between
Seconds till next breaths are taken
When stillness offers open
doors
Minute glimpses into heaven
And gives us pause at beauty rare
Streams of pastoral light
Oh, Abba Father, give us eyes
In the hubbub of our days
To see your presence everywhere
In loneliness or disarray
Light within our darknesses
And give back pastoral praise
With all nature’s beauty seen
That stirs our hearts to hope beyond
Come close, LORD, and whisper please
Let us hear Your welcome long
In the stillness and the breeze
Hear Your pastoral song

Thank You, LORD, for the beauty of Your love and grace. Open our eyes to see You, Jesus. To behold the glory of Your holiness. In Your name. Amen.
Job 19:26-27 NLT
“And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God!
I will see him for myself.
Yes, I will see him with my own eyes.
I am overwhelmed at the thought!”
