Writing prose and poetry has long been a rich place for me to mine for the truth of things and explore hidden depths of emotions. Inevitably, God teaches me as I hold up my thoughts in the light of His Word, the plumb line of truth…all things are measured by it.
Throughout my lifetime, coming to know God personally through His Word and His Holy Spirit teaching my spirit, I have come to know a Righteous God who is also a Loving Father. I see evidences of Him everywhere, from the microscopic to the vast wonders of nature. More importantly, He has given me His “peace that passes all understanding.” The peace of knowing His deep love for and acceptance of me…through Jesus’s propitiation for all the things that separated me from God, my sins.
Mountain Reflections: Poems From My Heart is a collection of poetry written over several years. It is an offering to the Father, a reflection back of things I have learned as my heart becomes more and more open to Him, and of the delights I see. I hope this book might bless you as you trek through this world, find awe in nature, and wrestle with internal mountains and valleys of your own. Perhaps we have traveled some of the same trails.
