A Mama’s Prayer

Help her to rise, again, from the floor 
In Your strength, LORD 
Not just her own 
Help her to realize every breath
Is a gift from You 

Guide and direct her every choice
Though she might deny Your name 
Land her where she’ll safely grow 
Into the warmth of Your embrace 
Find her rest in You 

Keep her children close at hand 
As they enter a different world 
Surprise them with joy and meet them there 
Reveal Your presence guiding them 
Protect and keep them safe

Soften hearts and open eyes 
Cast off fear and want to flee 
Give them wisdom to clearly see 
The paths You open up for them 
Draw each close to You 

Surround them with those who know You well 
Speak into their wounded hearts 
Let their adventure be the start 
Of coming home, LORD
Of coming home to You

LORD, thank You for holding my loved ones in Your everlasting care. Nothing separates them from Your Love. I love You, LORD. I trust You. Into Your hands I give my loved ones…again. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
