Oh, the smell of rain washed air
Cleansing waters everywhere
Earth proudly wearing finery
Birds chorusing in harmony
Just stepping on the garden path
Brings solace to my weariness
I think I’ve been inside too long
I need to hear God’s nature song
Sunlight shines on raindrops clear
Kissing flowers, leaves, all near
Drinking heaven’s cheer to fill
Bursting glories blooming still
Pulling weeds, yes, has its place
To urge me from my quiet nest
To work outside and dwell awhile
In God’s majestic nature smile
