Light in the Darkness

People slumbered seeking their pleasure
Whiteness covered the moon 
All that was known could cease without measure 
Darkness persistent, creeping, determined
Threatened to overtake soon 

E’en in that nighttime light even greater 
Beamed n’er extinguished
Constraining the dark
Brings hope to masses awake from their slumber
Shines on a weary world stark 

Come to the Light here in the darkness 
Shadows flee where Truth’s come to stay 
Moon’s but reflecting light from one greater 
Truth blazes on, and will forever 
Stand in His radiance today
