Chaos or Chorus

What undergirds my milieu
What pond floats my nest
Is it nourishing to me 
Or a jumbled messy mess

What is my life’s tempo
Are there pauses and still rests 
Peaceful sublime music score 
Or constant turmoil’s test

And if a loud chaotic tract
How to move to gentle sounds
Tame the churning deep unrest 
‘Til quiet can be found 

I need the Concert Master 
Replace needle in new groove
To bring a holy rhythm
For my soul to vibrate to

LORD, thank You that no matter what surrounds us, You are our calm and our rest. Tune our hearts to Yours, LORD, that our souls and spirits may soar in realms of healing joy, pulled up from fractured, shattering places that would leave us empty and spent. Thank You, LORD, that You know Love’s true score! With praise to Your Holy Name, Amen.
