Waiting with prayerful petition
Goes on forever at times
Months slow turn into decades
Years roll languidly by
Heart sick heavy with sorrow
Refusing to heal, to mend
A shroud of heaviness hanging
Mulling its way in the dim
Why yet no answers so wanted
Those heartfelt cries to above
Oh to see the great picture
See with God’s eyes of pure Love
While waiting His strength is transplanted
Into hearts wounded deep
His sure accompanying presence
Available to fill every need
Take hope, all you who are weary
Exhausted and sick in your souls
Cling to the Giver of patience
One who can make all hearts whole
Practice resultant thanksgiving
No matter what outcome may be
With God in pain’s fertile soil
Beauty will grow mercifully

LORD, thank You that no matter the depth of our sorrow, Your Love is deeper still. Help us to have trust in Your good purposes especially when the resolution we so desire is delayed, or never comes. Show us Your will, Father. Help us to rest in Your promises as we wait on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Proverbs 13:12 NIV
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Daniel 2:22 NKJV
“He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.”
Isaiah 60:2
“For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.”
Psalm 81:10
“I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”

Your beauty is stunning my sister. You capture what’s in all of our hearts with such poignant, descriptive power that is “whew! glorious”!
All of your sufferings have not been in vain, dear one. They are the crushed flowers that make up the exquisite, divine fragrance of the Lord that very few have. Your pen is dipped in tenderness and compassion and your words have the smell of the perfume“Shalimar” (House of Love) in them.
I thank God for you.

Touched by your suffering, I wrote this post: http://ridetheheavens.com/2023/04/22/super-seeing/

Thank you, Michele, for such amazing encouragement. And for your post about super-seeing. I love that view of “looking far down the road,” as my wise mother taught. The joy I have found through my “suffering” (truly “momentary light afflictions”) is that Jesus is always there, near and far, however long the road! HE is the LIGHT at the end of my tunnel, as well as all the way through! What a glorious, gracious LORD we have! There is no other god like Him who pours light and life into our shadows!
Love you, dear heart. Thank you for your uplifting! 💞💐🙏

Oh dear Sherry, it’s so true: His presence and loving-kindness more than make our sufferings bearable!! I would go back and relive one of the hardest times in my life to experience the amazing comforting power of love I felt at that time. Yes, “what a glorious, gracious LORD we have!”
