Light in the Shadows

Thank you to all who joined me during book launch week. Like after birthing a baby, I’m catching my breath since sharing the book into the world.

What joy to share this walk through life with you! For the next several weeks, I plan to share thoughts garnered from “Walking Through Shadows: Finding Hope When Life Seems Dark.” I hope they will encourage you.

Today’s thoughts reflect Chapter 3–Walking in Light:

There are times when the light feels far away.

When fear whispers “there’s no hope” and the shadows seem too heavy to bear.

I’ve been there—wandering through uncertainty, heart weighed down, trying to find my footing again.

And right in the middle of it all, God gently reminded me:
“I am still here. My light never dims.”

1 John 1:5b NKJV says,

“God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.”

Even when I don’t understand my circumstances, Jesus remains the same—steady, faithful, and near. Like a loving parent comforting a frightened child, He wraps His arms around us until peace begins to rise again.

If you’re in a dim season right now, lift your eyes toward Him. The Light hasn’t left—you may just need to pause long enough to feel its warmth.

Darkness doesn’t get the final word.
Keep walking in the Light, one small, steady step at a time.
